Costume & Makeup Design
As a costume designer and cosplayer, I am fascinated by how costume communicates character, and I am driven by a whimsical, innovative aesthetic. I believe that the character needs to be strongly expressed, and in the fantasy genre, in which I’ve primarily designed, that anything is possible. I seek to repurpose and recycle clothing items, or even costume with items not typically used as clothing.
Especially for fantasy looks, makeup completes the character transformation. Drawing upon the knowledge I gained from Glamour’s makeup tutorials — and lots of trial and error — I create unique makeup designs for both stage and screen. I’ve designed everything from classic cabaret looks to gory special makeup effects.
